The hotel is located at an important intersection on the Second Ring Road in the south of Chengdu. It was built in the 1980s and the original façade style is relatively conservative and ordinary. We were invited to redesign the facade of the hotel’s 16-story main building. A layer of metal wire mesh is hung outside the building, embedded with plexiglass panels of different geometric shapes, and 3M Dichroic film is used to make the façade undergo rich changes and generate dynamic rhythm.
